Blake Fallaw was dialed in at the plate on Saturday, tallying four hits and leading Wando to a 17-6 win over Berkeley High School. Fallaw tripled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fourth, and singled in the sixth.
Bats blistered as the Warriors collected 16 hits and Berkeley High School tallied six in the high-scoring game.
In the first inning, Wando got their offense started when Fallaw tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
The Warriors took the lead for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third Landon Tuel singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Thomas Campagna drew a walk, scoring one run, Thayer Tavormina drew a walk, scoring one run, Matt Slesinski drew a walk, scoring one run, Nate Schwartz singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run, and Fallaw drew a walk, scoring one run.
Fallaw pitched Wando to victory. He surrendered six runs on four hits over two and a third innings, striking out three. Branton Little threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Gavin Driggers took the loss for Berkeley High School. He allowed five hits and seven runs over two and a third innings, striking out two.
Wando launched one home run on the day. Campagna went yard in the fourth inning.
The Warriors tallied 16 hits on the day. Fallaw, Campagna, John Bagwell, and Schwartz each managed multiple hits for Wando Warriors JV. Fallaw led Wando Warriors JV with four hits in four at bats.
Mason Salisbury went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Berkeley High School in hits.
